Epilab manufactures baby wash for Australian baby brands. Tear-free, gentle, hypoallergenic and fragrance-free positioning across head-to-toe wash, body wash and dedicated bath products.

All baby wash made in Melbourne. Custom formulation, private label and white label under one roof. We do not produce baby sunscreens but everything else in the bath and personal care category is in scope.

What we make

Head-to-toe baby wash, dedicated body wash, foam-pump bath wash, sensitive-skin wash, and gentle daily wash. Packaging includes PCR plastic bottles, pump bottles, foam pumps and refill pouches.

Three ways to launch a baby wash

Custom formulation

Custom baby wash is formulated to a tear-free target with carefully selected gentle surfactants. Six to twelve weeks development. We work through surfactant blend (amino-acid, sulphosuccinate, polyglucoside), conditioning agent selection, pH targeting, and any actives or botanical extracts. MOQ starts at 500 units.

Private label

Private label baby wash uses our existing tear-free formula library. Three to six weeks. You select positioning and apply your fragrance (or no fragrance), packaging and branding.

White label

White label baby wash ready to ship with your label. Two to four weeks.

Minimum order quantities

Pump and bottle MOQ starts at 500 units. Foam pump packaging starts at 500. Per-unit pricing improves at 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000-unit tiers.

Formulation considerations

Baby wash formulation prioritises tear-free behaviour, low irritation potential and a gentle surfactant blend. Amino-acid surfactants (sodium cocoyl glutamate, sodium cocoyl isethionate) and sulphosuccinates are common. Coco-glucoside is widely used. We avoid SLS in baby wash by default. pH is targeted to a near-neutral or slightly acidic range. Fragrance is either omitted entirely or kept to very low usage with allergen-screened composition.

Cost transparency

Baby wash unit cost is at the lower end of the personal care range because most formats are bottle-fill liquids. Foam-pump variants cost slightly more due to packaging.
