Leave-in Conditioner Manufacturer Australia
Australian leave-in conditioner manufacturer. Detangling sprays, milk conditioners and cream leave-ins made in Melbourne.
Epilab manufactures leave-in conditioners for Australian hair care brands. Three main formats: detangling sprays, milk conditioners and cream leave-ins, across kids, curls, daily and treatment positioning.
All leave-in conditioners made in Melbourne. Custom formulation, private label and white label under one roof. Leave-in formulation differs from rinse-out because the product stays on the hair, so the conditioning loading, sensory profile and ingredient choices must work for leave-on application.
What we make
Detangling sprays (water-thin, easy mist application), milk conditioners (low-viscosity emulsions), and cream leave-ins (medium-viscosity emulsions for hand-application). Common packaging includes spray bottles, pump bottles and squeeze tubes.
Three ways to launch a leave-in conditioner
Custom formulation
Custom leave-in conditioners are formulated around the target hair type (fine, normal, thick, curly, kids), the target finish (slip, softness, hold, definition), and any specific claims. Six to ten weeks development. MOQ starts at 500 units for spray and pump formats, 3,000 for tubes.
Private label
Private label leave-ins use our existing emulsion library across the three main formats. Three to six weeks.
White label
White label leave-ins ready to ship with your label. Two to four weeks.
Minimum order quantities
Spray bottle and pump bottle MOQ starts at 500 units. Tube MOQ starts at 3,000 units. Per-unit cost improves at 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000-unit tiers.
Formulation considerations
Leave-in conditioners use cationic conditioning agents (polyquats, behentrimonium methosulphate at lower levels than rinse-out), light emollients, and humectants. Detangling sprays are essentially water-thin solutions with active conditioning, often with a slight gel-network polymer for hold. Milk conditioners are low-viscosity emulsions. Cream leave-ins build viscosity for hand-application and provide more conditioning bang per application.
Cost transparency
Leave-in unit cost depends on conditioning agent loading, actives, packaging and format. Detangling sprays are the lowest-cost format. Cream leave-ins with treatment actives sit at the upper end.

Frequently asked questions
What is the MOQ for leave-in conditioner?
500 units for spray and pump bottles. 3,000 units for tube packaging.
Can you make kids leave-in detanglers?
Yes. Kids leave-ins use gentler conditioning agents and tear-free formulation logic where possible.
Can you do curly-hair leave-ins?
Yes. Curl-defining leave-ins use higher conditioning loading, specific humectant balances, and curl-defining polymers.
Are sulphate-free and silicone-free leave-ins possible?
Yes. Standard. We build to the claim from the brief.
How long is shelf life?
24 months typical for leave-in conditioners, confirmed by stability testing.
Can you do refill packaging?
Yes. Refill pouches and bulk-refill formats are increasingly common and we can support both.
